The True Wealth Premise

Editor’s note:  I’ve been busy with other projects and time has been short to post but this email, one of many I get regularly, from my friend, mentor and business partner–Jeff Lerner–caught my attention.  Particularly the two  questions:  “What is true wealth? Why do so few achieve it?”  Ponder that question as you read and if what we have interests you watch the video [Link below]

The Wealth Premise

What is true wealth and Why Do So Few Achieve it? I define it as creating substantial financial means in a shortened period of time outside of today’s standard or norm.

That, of course, is the goal, the dream – the vision, if you will – that just about every single human being on Earth today is striving for, yet very few ever come close to it. Sadly, you and I both know that that is reality. Does it mean that for 97% of the population that true wealth is not achievable? On the contrary, I present to you that 97% of the general population certainly can amass substantial health and financial means. So the obvious question remains: why do so few achieve it?

Since we have defined true wealth as something far beyond (though including) cash in hand (though it absolutely
is intrinsically related), let’s talk about why so few attain it.  Now before we do, let’s look at some methodologies for
creating wealth available today.

Means of Producing What is True Wealth and Why So Few Achieve It (by today’s standard) – Traditional employment. Working 9 to 5, or some variation thereof in exchange for a paycheck at the end of the week, month, etc.

– Entrepreneurship. For example, starting your own business of some kind, whether a brick-and-mortar local business, digitally based, etc.

While we could talk about other ways to create what is true wealth, 99% of the population fall into one of the two primary categories I mentioned above. Something else to be considered is the fact that the overwhelming majority of the population falls into the employee category, which brings in both a fundamental flaw, in my opinion, as well as an opportunity.

Now that I’ve piqued your interest, let’s look at the employee trap vs. the new opportunity only available in today’s new economy in this post on our blog.  What is True Wealth?  Why Do So Few Achieve it?  Watch the video at the link below and you might find some clues.
